We are recruiting for a Consultant - Noninvasive Cardiology.

Job Summary:

Our client,a modern, multi-speciality 127 bed medical facility, is looking for a Consultant in Cardiology for their highly functional medical team. This facility provides a comprehensive and quality care of an international standard. The ideal candidate will be a General Cardiologist who has specific interest in managing non- interventional cardiovascular diseases.

Job Requirements:

Licensing and Education:

  • Basic Medical Degree recognised by Dubai Health Authority.
  • Completion of a relevant recognised higher professional education program in Cardiovascular Diseases/Cardiology.
  • Certification/registration/license in Cardiovascular Diseases/Cardiology, recognised by Dubai Health Authority.

Specialised Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of Cardiovascular Diseases and non-interventional Cardiology.

Generic Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Proven experience at a consultant level, since gaining higher qualification.
  • Consultant level experience in a Western hospital setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
  • Publication in peer reviewed journals would be well regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality patient care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement for better health outcomes.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English is expected.
  • High level of interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good computer literacy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Cardiology services to patients of Mediclinic Welcare Hospital.
  • Participate equitably in the on-call roster where applicable
  • Participate in the oversight and professional development of assigned junior medical staff.
  • Participate in the educational activities of the Medical Staff as a whole.
  • Conduct Clinical Audits in line with Medical Advisory Committee requirements.
  • Participate in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the Cardiology service and the Hospital.
  • Participate in activities and opportunities to promote the Cardiology service and the Hospital to the general public and wider medical community of Dubai and the UAE.
  • Fulfill professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of Cardiology and Interventional cardiology.
  • Carries out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.
