This national centre provides the highest level of specialised healthcare alongside postgraduate education programmes supporting Residency and Fellowship training.

We are recruiting for a Senior Physical Therapist.

Job Summary:

Plans and administers Physical Therapy programs to patients to restore function, relive pain, and prevent disability. Rehabilitates patients within the scope of the Physical Therapy program.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Upon referral, plans and administers physical therapy programs to patients to maximum function, relieve pain and prevent disability. Reviews physical therapy request and patient's records to determine nature of therapy to be given. Evaluated findings to establish or revise treatment programs. Develops treatment protocols and home programs as appropriate.
  • Administers treatments involving application of physical agents, such as heat, cold packs, and ultrasound or oversees application of Physical Agents by subordinate personnel. Evaluates and records effects of treatments, response and progress. Incorporates quality improvement strategies in clinical practice.
  • Consults with physician and other health care personnel regarding treatments. Liaises with, and acts as a resource for other health care personnel regarding physical therapy issues.
  • Instructs patients and family in physical therapy procedures and self-care. Instructs other departmental personnel in the area of specialty. Provides peer review to staff physical therapist rotating through area of specialty and provides information for their performance evaluations.
  • Participates in self education, training and development. Assists with training of staff physical therapists. Acts as preceptor for SCDP participants, volunteers and interns.
  • Follows all departmental and Hospital related policies and procedures.
  • Performs any other related duties, as assigned.


Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree Physical Therapy required. Demonstrated continuing education in assigned specialty area such as Neurology, Othropedics, and Pediatrics.
  • Three (3) years experience as a Physical Therapist including one (1) year of experience in the assigned area of specialty required. Current licensure required for non Saudi.
