My client is looking for a qualified IT Support Engineer that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality. You will also train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of Internet applications, networks and operating systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first, second and third line support, answering support queries via phone, email and on-site and through our ticketing service for 200 users
  • Imaging PC/laptops to company specifications
  • Provisioning and support of mobile estate, phones and tablets (iOS). Management of devices through MDM (mobile device management)
  • Check computer hardware to ensure functionality
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Manage user accounts.
  • Monitor and maintain local networks in ways that optimize business performance
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders

Requirements:

  • Certifications in: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT, Network security (degree in IT is desirable but not required)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Proven experience as IT Support Engineer
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Office 365 and Exchange Online
  • Understanding of Active Directory account management
  • Understanding of Group Policy Management
  • Fast learner as we continuously evaluating and installing new products.
  • Excellent communication ability
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
  • Full UK driving licence
