Our client is one of UK's most experienced company in environmental consultancy, property and buildings, power and energy, highways, roads and rail infrastructure, urban and regional planning.

Based in Bristol, our client is looking for an Associate Director to lead their Landscape Team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of high profile UK projects that cover both public and private sector schemes and developments. With a requirement to meet the needs of our local Clients and to support colleagues in other regional offices, a key aspect to the role will include regular co-operation and inter-office working in line with the client's 'One Team' culture.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams with different goals
  • Pro-active in developing business opportunities
  • Maintain client relations
  • Provide senior leadership to the team both from a technical and mentoring perspective

Requirements and Skills:

  • Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute
  • An experienced senior professional with particular expertise in LVIA, TVIA and Landscape Design, and be familiar with working within the UK's national planning policy framework
  • Have commercial acumen
  • Be a creative problem solver
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to show they can work positively in a variety of demanding environments
  • Ability to develop confidence and trust in your relationships with clients, stakeholders, statutory consultees and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Experience in writing, designing and approving several, or all, of the following types of work is essential: Landscape/Townscape Appraisals; Landscape/Seascape and Townscape Visual Impact Assessments; Landscape Sensitivity/Capacity Studies; Green Belt Appraisals/Assessment; Masterplan Strategies; Landscape Design; Landscape Management and Arboriculture Surveys/Assessment and advice.
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the UK
  • A full UK driving licence is required
