We are recruiting a Project Manager/Senior Engineer for a Dublin based client. We are looking for a capable and enthusiastic individual who can work closely and support the Contracts Manager, to ensure the successful delivery of design and construction of housing projects.


  • Arrange weekly co-ordination meetings to review the previous week's progress and the oncoming two week look ahead while taking cognisance of the overall completion programme. Take appropriate action.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all design information including superseded information as per the Quality Plan.
  • Assist the project team in the procurement process and ensure trade contractors are correctly briefed and understand our project requirements through Pre-Appointment Meetings.
  • Act as a role model and lead by example in a consistently professional manner.
  • Active involvement in HSE management on our projects and challenge working practices on site and across our business to ensure continuous improvement
  • Drafts, reviews and approves Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) with the support of the Contracts Manager, Foremen and Safety-Officer.
  • Identify and co-ordinate Package Owners to ensure all necessary deliverables are allocated and understood and that interfaces are appropriately coordinated
  • Plans close out of works including O&M Manuals while allocating resources in accordance with the handover strategy and contract programme
  • Leads the way in communicating to the project team and raising NCR's when works are not delivered to the appropriate standards

Experience & Skills:

  • Project delivery experience having worked for two to three years in either an operational, planning or engineering role
  • Effective communicator with the consultants, project team and supply chain
  • Understands safety implications when designing and planning a project and seeks to reduce risk
  • Knowledge of the supply chain and has established working relationships over more than one project
  • Experience of and fully implements our standards and procedures
  • An understanding of material performance and selects accordingly with Zero Defects in mind
  • Ability to measure productivity and suggest improvement
  • Ability to provide RAMS for site operations and ensure these are followed
  • Efficient in their work practices and is always seeking to reduce waste and continually improve

Required Training:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification preferably in Construction / Engineering

Desirable Training:

  • Homebond - Building Regulations Explained
  • Safe Pass card
  • Temporary works co-ordination
  • Lifting operation basic awareness
  • Location of Underground services
  • Appointed Crane Person
  • Preparation of Programmes, Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
  • BIM fundamentals
  • Managing Safety in Construction
  • Working to become Chartered with relevant body such as CIOB / Engineers Ireland
