We are recruiting for a Senior ROR Developer (API) to work for our client remotely.

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Senior ROR Developer (API) to work remotely on a rolling contract basis starting ASAP. Due to the nature of the project, the chosen candidate will need to work Polish working hours.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Please note - roles and responsibilities may vary or can be tailored around your expertise.

  • Ruby on Rails development, JSON API, Administrate, various integrations
  • Working with the wider business team to help understand requirements and needs
  • Liaise with internal and external teams to discover requirements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Work together with the infrastructure team to facilitate development, test and running of applications and efficient delivery.
  • Work together with the development team to shape processes and best practices within the team.
  • Document work for other members to understand and break knowledge silos.
  • Be part of technical discussions around new developments, can recommend implementations.
  • Troubleshoot issues and incidents.
  • Evangelize and apply best practices.
  • Continuously improve performance and practices across systems.

Requirements and Skills:

Please note - not all experience needed to be suitable for the role.

  • Experience implementing and working with Agile Methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in using the following
    • Ruby, Rails 5, TDD, MySQL, CoffeeScript, Sass, Haml, Git, Ckoud66 and AWS
  • Hands-on experience in analysis, architecting, coding, and implementation of complex, custom-built applications.
  • Agile methodology, or Agile way of working
  • Strong experience with data synchronisation patterns.
  • The ability to adapt to an ever-evolving tech environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
  • Desire for learning and growing as a developer.
  • Team player with great communication skills.
  • Able to work in a defined environment and build relationships.
