Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse - Paediatrics

You'll work as part of a close knit team providing excellent patient focused care within the Paediatrics Team. You'll be a caring and compassionate nurse, delivering a high standard of care to patients. You will be provided with support and a great place to work.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) guidelines
  • Prioritise patient care needs
  • Posses effective time management skills to ensure patients needs are met
  • Effective communication within the Multi Disciplinary Team.
  • Engaging in and promoting multi-disciplinary teamwork alongside: Specialist Doctors, nurses, interpreters and therapists.
  • Understand the principles of delivering prescribed treatment safely to achieve positive patient outcomes
  • Participating in Research/Evidence based practice groups to enhance and maintain the delivery of care
  • Competency displayed at the bedside, patient assessment, clinical skills and documentation
  • Act at all times as the patient advocate.

Skill and Experience

  • RN Child Branch or equivalent qualification
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • NMC Registered
  • Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role in an OPD setting
  • Paediatric experience, minimum 3 years
  • Experience of broad range of specialities and the support they require
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience in the development of policies and protocols to support best practice
  • Experience in handling complaints and incidents
