Qatar is Booming

To most of us, Qatar’s development has been led by the award of the FIFA World Cup which will be held in the capital Doha, in 2022. However, if you look at little closer, you will find a country with a vision to be a leader in economic and sustainable development - creating cities of the future. Qatar is building a country that is ultra-modern, implementing the most advanced technologies into its communities with an infrastructure to rival major cities around the world.

The demand for highly skilled engineers is increasing rapidly, with Qatari firms constantly seeking out new and innovative talent. Currently, over $200 billion has been allocated to infrastructure projects and a large portion is already being spent on complex construction programs, including major upgrades and expansion of all transportation modes.

The Project

Cavendish Professionals is working in partnership with a leading, multi-disciplinary consultancy firm acting as ‘program manager’ for the $40 billion Expressway Program.

With more than 30 major projects to be delivered, the program will provide:
  • Approximately 240 major interchanges ranging from conventional traffic lights.
  • Four level interchanges with tunnels and flyover.
  • New and upgraded freeways, expressways and arterial roads across Qatar
  • A national roads network capable of sustaining the future development and expansion of a world-class infrastructure within Qatar.
