In an industry often defined by always-on expectations, rapid delivery, and constant change, it’s more important than ever to ask: How do we build environments where wellbeing and performance can go hand in hand?

In this live panel discussion kindly hosted by Bettermile, we’ll be joined by a fantastic group of voices from across tech to unpack the realities of stress at work and share practical ways leaders, managers, and technologists can build healthier, more sustainable cultures.

    Our aim for Tech Talk

Join us for an exclusive DEIB focused meet up, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to ask technology leaders your questions about career growth, skill development, and industry insights right on stage! This interactive event brings together top professionals from various backgrounds, ready to share their experiences, provide guidance, and help you navigate your career path with confidence. Whether you’re looking for advice on breaking into a new industry, advancing in your current role, or overcoming professional challenges, this live Q&A session ensures you get direct, real-time feedback from experts who have been in your shoes. Don’t miss this chance to gain invaluable knowledge and make meaningful connections!

Tech Talk aims to provide an in-person opportunity for like-minded people to come together with a shared aim in mind, this year being – Growth, development, elevation and tech, of course! We think that face-to-face interaction is better (call us old school), but we want to connect, inspire and empower, within a conversational environment where you can learn from the best. We believe bringing people together into one room provides the best setting for relationship building, and therefore offers the most opportunity for learning and development.

Led by our DEIB Community Founder & Advisor, Francesca Pollard, the panel will dive into five key areas:

⚡ Performance Culture & Always-On Expectations – How to measure impact over hours and move away from constant connectivity.

🧠 Psychological Safety & Stress – Spotting hidden pressure, giving feedback that actually helps, and reducing invisible labour.

💭 Imposter Syndrome – Creating environments where people feel confident to be themselves and have their contributions recognised.

🌿Neurodiversity & Stress – Designing workflows and flexible ways of working that reduce cognitive overload.

🔄 Career Breaks & Burnout Recovery – Reframing gaps as growth, supporting reintegration, and modelling healthy boundaries.

This session is packed with practical takeaways & insights for building healthier, more inclusive tech cultures, with the opportunity to have your burning questions answered by experienced tech leaders.

    Meet our Panelists:

We’ve gathered some of the best industry leaders to share their experiences and guidance in the interest of helping you take steps to reach your goals!
