Join us for Tech Talk: The AI Debate Nobody Can Ignore, where we’ll debate the biggest opportunities, risks, and unanswered questions surrounding AI. We’ll begin with a 30-minute live debate featuring industry experts as they go head-to-head on some of AI’s most pressing issues, from whether AI will strengthen Big Tech monopolies or drive open innovation, to how AI is reshaping education, critical thinking, and decision-making, and whether it will create more economic inequality than opportunity in the workplace.
Expect bold opinions, challenging arguments, and honest discussion from both sides of the debate. Following the debate, we’ll move into our signature live mentoring session, giving you the opportunity to ask career questions, gain practical advice, and learn directly from experienced professionals working in technology and AI.
Tech Talk aims to provide an in-person opportunity for like-minded people to come together with a shared aim in mind, being – growth, development, elevation and tech, of course! We think that face-to-face interaction is better (call us old school), but we want to connect, inspire and empower, within a conversational environment where you can learn from the best. We believe bringing people together into one room provides the best setting for relationship building, and therefore offers the most opportunity for learning and development.
We’ve gathered some of the best industry leaders across AI to weigh in on the debate.
With more than a decade of experience in AI, data, and large-scale digital transformation, Michal has built and led AI initiatives across some of Central and Eastern Europe’s most complex enterprise environments. Before joining ValkaAI as AI Lead, he served as Head of AI at O2, where he led the development of AI-powered solutions focused on predictive analytics, automation, and real-time data processing. Today, Michal is driving AI innovation at ValkaAI, specialising in production-ready neural networks, distributed systems, and scalable AI infrastructure. His experience helping organisations adopt AI at scale gives him a valuable perspective on the opportunities, limitations, and challenges facing businesses as AI continues to reshape industries.
Kateřina Lesch is a data and AI leader with a strong academic background in mathematics, computer science, and natural language processing. She graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University in Prague, where her doctoral research focused on automated methods for emotion analysis in text using NLP techniques.
Professionally, Kateřina has worked extensively with unstructured data, analytics, and applied AI across both consulting and enterprise environments. Her career includes roles at Ataccama, Deloitte, and the PPF Group, where she led AI and data teams working on advanced analytics and data-driven solutions. She currently serves as Group AI Manager at the pharmacy chain Dr. Max. Alongside her industry work, she mentors through Femme Palette, supporting professionals in building careers in technology and data.
With more than a decade of experience turning emerging AI technologies into real-world products, Dimi has led AI and technology teams at Citi, Deloitte, and Accountor Group, working across generative AI, LLMs, automation, and analytics. Dimi currently serves as the VP of Product Development at Citi and previously led Deloitte’s Generative AI Center of Excellence, giving him a unique view of how organisations are moving from AI experimentation to practical implementation.Now building AI-powered products of his own, Dimi is focused on making knowledge and workflows more useful and accessible.
As the Director of Engineering at Gen, Kristýna is responsible for delivery oversight across 1,400+ engineers and focuses on AI transformation within the engineering organization, which has measurably contributed to increased productivity. Over the past year, her own team underwent significant optimization. Through automation and process redesign, the team was reduced by half while maintaining the quality of its output.
Before joining Gen, she led complex programs for Microsoft Teams at Microsoft, including the migration of Fortune 500 clients, which she completed without a single escalation. Prior to that, she spent more than three years at PwC Czech Republic as an Engineering Manager, leading teams delivering solutions for PwC US and being responsible for delivery, client relationships, and further business development.
Dana brings more than 15 years of experience in IT project and program management, having worked with Procter & Gamble and Hewlett Packard across Prague, Brussels, and Singapore. Throughout her career, she has managed regional technology projects, worked with external vendors, and led knowledge management programmes across international organisations.
Her experience spans not only technology delivery and business transformation, but also education and professional development. After returning to Prague, Dana moved into academia and training, combining her role as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New York in Prague with work as a soft skills trainer and mentor. She also provides freelance consulting in knowledge management.
David has spent the past decade working as a Lead Engineer and has been involved in machine learning since 2012, giving him a front-row view of several waves of excitement, experimentation, and changing expectations around AI. Rather than focusing on a single corner of the AI landscape, David takes a broader view – combining his engineering background with a practical understanding of what’s happening under the hood to separate genuine capability from the marketing hype.
