Product Engineer | San Francisco (5 days onsite)
Cavendish Professionals is partnering with a well-funded, early-stage foundation AI company in San Francisco that is rebuilding how physics simulation gets rebuilt with AI, and they are already running early deployments with several leading engineering organizations across multiple industries.
This role is for:
A Product Engineer to own and extend the customer-facing product across the full stack. You will build the experience through which engineers import CAD and 3D geometry, simulation and test data, and operating conditions; configure model workflows; monitor simulations; compare predictions against trusted benchmarks; and deploy or export results.
What you’ll do
- Own customer workflows from geometry and engineering data through model configuration, benchmarked predictions and exported results.
- Ship production features across React, TypeScript, Next.js, Python, databases, cloud services and APIs.
- Design clear product abstractions: interfaces, workflow templates and APIs for simulations, datasets, model jobs, evaluations and uncertainty.
- Work directly with customers to understand real engineering processes and turn their lessons into scalable product capabilities.
- Own production quality: observability, performance, versioning, migrations, compatibility and incident diagnosis.
- Shape product and architecture with the founding team, Research and Platform Engineering.
What you bring
- Experience shipping and operating customer-facing products across React/TypeScript frontends, Python backends, APIs and data systems.
- Product judgment: you can turn complex technical workflows into clear experiences for expert users.
- Production ownership: you design maintainable systems, debug production issues and manage reliability, rollouts and migrations.
- Customer focus: you can work directly with technical users, make sound tradeoffs and own outcomes in an early-stage environment.
- Zero-to-one product experience at an early-stage company.
