This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on www.cavendishprofessionals.com, what each one does, and how you control them.
The website is operated by Cavendish (Recruitment) Professionals Ltd, trading as Cavendish Professionals, registered in England, company number 08978942, registered office 16 St John’s Lane, Farringdon, London, EC1M 4BS.
This policy covers cookies only. How we use the personal data you give us when you register, apply for a role or contact us is set out separately in our Candidate Privacy Notice.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and between visits — that you have answered the cookie banner, for example, or that you are logged in. Similar technologies, such as the storage your browser provides to a web page, work in much the same way, and this policy covers those too.
Cookies set by this website are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organisation whose service runs on our pages — Google, for example — are third-party cookies.
A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays on your device until it expires or you delete it. The tables below give the lifespan of each one.
Your choices
When you first visit the site, a banner asks how you want cookies handled. You can accept or reject, and rejecting is as easy as accepting.
No analytics cookies are set until you accept them. Only the cookies needed to run the website and keep it secure are placed before you answer the banner, and those cannot be switched off here — without them the site cannot remember your cookie choice, keep you logged in, or protect its forms from automated abuse.
You can change your mind at any time using the Manage consent link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics cookies being set; cookies already on your device can be removed through your browser, as described below.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the website to work and for us to honour your cookie choice. They are set without consent because the site cannot function without them.
Cookie consent
Set by Complianz, the consent tool that manages the banner. First-party.
| Cookie | Lifespan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| cmplz_banner-status | 365 days | Records that you have answered the cookie banner, so it is not shown again |
| cmplz_id | 365 days | Identifies your consent record |
| cmplz_consented_services | 365 days | Records which services you have consented to |
| cmplz_saved_services | 365 days | Stores your saved service choices |
| cmplz_saved_categories | 365 days | Stores your saved category choices |
| cmplz_functional | 365 days | Records your choice for functional cookies |
| cmplz_statistics | 365 days | Records your choice for statistics cookies |
| cmplz_marketing | 365 days | Records your choice for marketing cookies |
| cmplz_preferences | 365 days | Records your cookie preferences |
| cmplz_policy_id | 365 days | Records the version of this policy you accepted |
| cmplz_user_data | 365 days | Determines which version of the banner to show you |
Website platform
Set by WordPress, the platform the website runs on. First-party.
| Cookie | Lifespan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| wordpress_test_cookie | Session | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Session, or 14 days if you choose to stay signed in | Keeps you signed in to your account |
| wp-settings-* | 1 year | Remembers display preferences for your account |
| wp-settings-time-* | 1 year | Records when those preferences were set |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports | Session | Checks whether your browser can display emoji characters |
The account cookies are set only if you create or sign in to an account on the site. If you browse and apply without signing in, they are not used.
Security cookies
These protect the website and its forms. They are treated as strictly necessary: our job application and contact forms rely on them to tell a real applicant from an automated submission, and the forms would not work reliably without them.
Google reCAPTCHA
Protects our forms from automated abuse. Provided by Google; using it means some information about your visit, including your IP address, is sent to Google. Third-party.
| Cookie | Lifespan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| _grecaptcha | 6 months | Provides spam and abuse protection on forms |
| rc::a | Persistent | Distinguishes people from automated submissions |
| rc::b | Session | Distinguishes people from automated submissions |
| rc::c | Session | Distinguishes people from automated submissions |
Google’s own privacy terms apply to reCAPTCHA. See the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Website security
Set by Solid Security (formerly iThemes Security), which protects the site against unauthorised access. First-party.
| Cookie | Lifespan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| itsec_interstitial_browser | Session | Supports security checks and fraud prevention |
Statistics cookies
These tell us how the website is used — which pages are visited, how people arrive, and which job pages are most viewed — so we can improve it. They are set only if you accept them.
Google Analytics
Provided by Google. Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address; IP addresses are used in transit to approximate your location and are not retained. Third-party.
| Cookie | Lifespan | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | 2 years | Distinguishes one visitor from another |
| _ga_T6QX4JZX85 | 1 year | Maintains session state |

Managing cookies in your browser
As well as the controls on this site, your browser lets you block or delete cookies. The settings are usually under Privacy or Security, and the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox explain the steps for each.
Blocking all cookies will affect how the website works. In particular, we will not be able to remember your cookie choice, so the banner will reappear on every visit, and you may not be able to submit an application or contact form.
Keeping this policy up to date
We scan the website every month to check which cookies are actually being set, and update the tables above when anything changes. We will also update this policy when we add or remove a service, and will post the revision date when we do.
This version is effective from 21/10/2026.
