    Contractors to Belgium

    Following a major contract win in Belgium our client, a multi-disciplined groundwork contractor, required additional construction professionals to supplement their own workforce at short notice.

    They had secured a 6-month contract for a groundworks project in Belgium.  Our client already had 55 of their own workers on site and upon being appointed as their main supplier, we were tasked with assisting them in increasing the manpower up to 90 workers, with a two week timeline. Work would include piling caps, drainage, concreting and binding initially.

    Cavendish Professionals were selected as the provider of contract professionals based on industry expertise and project delivery experience.


    Once becoming nominated supplier, the client requested a shortlist of candidates within 7 days which included interviews and all screening processes to have been completed with the view that candidates could relocate to Belgium within 4 weeks.

    This allowed for the client to have completed the relevant governmental verification required in compliance with industry standards.

    A commitment to successfully place up to 10 contractors was agreed.


    Due to our expertise within the construction industry, our extensive network meant we were able to identify a selection of readily available, highly skilled workers.

    In addition, strategic digital promotion was put in place on Facebook targeting specific demographics.

    Within 7 days we conducted 3 information open days which included information sessions, interviews and verification of credentials.

    Holding open days allowed us to assess suitability and commitment of each individual. Based on our clients 4-week deadline to on-board contractors, we had to interview, verify and relocate all successful candidates.  Throughout the 4 weeks we conducted compliance checks for every individual and once they were on ground, their roles and responsibilities were confirmed.

    Within the 7 day time frame, 28 candidates had been interviewed, 13 shortlisted and presented for review with the client; resulting in the appointment of 10 contractors.

    All contractors mobilised and commenced employment within the 4-week target.

    Responsiveness and efficiency demonstrated to our client that we are established in the market and able to deliver at short notice whilst ensuring compliance is adhered too.

    The working relationship continues with the provision of contingent recruitment solutions on an ongoing basis.
