At Cavendish, we believe work should be something you genuinely enjoy. After all, we spend a significant portion of our lives either at work or thinking about it. To make this happen, we aim to create an environment where our team can feel like they belong. We try to offer activities which cater to everybody’s different interests, to provide an opportunity to take a break and bond with each other.

Each month, we arrange activities to encourage wellness within our team, this could be a wellness walk, our book club, a meditation session or a wellness breakfast. We are always looking to introduce new ventures, and aim to tailor the experiences based on the team’s opinions.

    Wellness Walks –

Each month, we take half an hour to go for a walk around the area surrounding our office. The walks are optional but encouraged. They provide an opportunity to be away from a screen, take in our surroundings and catch up with one another.

    Wellness breakfast –

Once a month, we provide breakfast for the team to have at their desks. We offer healthy options and aim to make it an opportunity to give everyone a break and boost the team’s mood.
We think that having things to look forward to makes the days go by more easily; something as simple as some croissants can make all the difference.

    Book Club –

We have a book club running where we share ideas and vote for a book, choose how long we think it will take to read, and meet up to discuss it over some food once everyone has finished. We have quite a few members spanning each division of the company.
The book tends to create a conversation topic within the office, giving people an opportunity to compare their opinions and cheer each other on.

    Meditation –

We host these sessions in our office with an instructor named Nick Stolerman. There are limitless spots, meaning everybody can get involved if they want to.
The sessions tend to focus on breathwork to centre and focus the mind.
We like to make these sessions as comfortable and relaxing as possible, so that the participants can get all of the benefits of the experience.

As our wellness zones’ popularity increases, we aim to expand it to suit the different interests of our team. We are always looking for feedback from our colleagues to see what they’re enjoying and works well, or what they’d be interested in us introducing.

Stay up to date with our activities on our website Instagram and LinkedIn.
