    Junior Transport Manager

    One of our clients who are a UK Construction Haulage Company based in Acton and are looking to add a Junior Transport Manager to their growing office.

    The ideal candidate will have experience in working in the some of the following construction sectors:

    • Transport
    • Ready Mix Concrete
    • Waste Management/Skip Hire

    Experience in these fields are not essential, we are willing to train the right candidate. It is more important to have a good attitude with a willingness to help/learn. Opportunities for career progression can arise if there is a particular sector you express interest/excel in.

    Primary functions / duties:

    • Assist the Transport Teams in day to day activity in the office
    • Helping drivers and employees to use our in house software systems
    • Checking tickets before invoicing
    • Cover Holidays
    • Reporting for customers and managers
    • Answering & directing telephone calls to relevant staff
    • Working with sales team on obtaining orders

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Candidates must have good communication skills, be flexible and have a positive attitude.
    • Good Computer skills.
    • Good team worker.
    • Willingness to learn in house software packages.
    • Ability to multitask
    • Demonstrate good time management and organisational skills.
    • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent.
