Digital Marketing Architect – Germany (Remote/Hybrid)
I’m supporting a global consultancy that is looking for an experienced Digital Marketing Architect to design and optimise their digital marketing technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Design and own the end-to-end MarTech stack architecture (CDP, e-commerce, CRM, personalisation, loyalty & campaign tools)
Build omnichannel customer journeys by integrating online (web/app) & offline (POS, in-store) data
Define and govern the data & personalisation strategy within the CDP
Lead technology evaluation & roadmap planning to align with growth goals
Oversee system integrations, APIs, and governance standards (GDPR compliance)
Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, CRM & data teams to turn business needs into technical solutions
Key Requirements
8+ years in digital marketing tech / solutions architecture / marketing ops
Hands-on experience with core retail platforms:
CDPs (Segment, Tealium, Bloomreach)
E-commerce (Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Commercetools)
CRM/Marketing (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Emarsys)
Personalisation (Dynamic Yield, Nosto, Klevu)
Strong technical skills: APIs (REST/GraphQL), SQL, data modelling, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
Retail expertise: CLV, Conversion Rate, AOV and linking tech to business results
Solid knowledge of GDPR & consent management
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with headless commerce & composable architecture
Familiarity with loyalty platforms, DAM, PIM
Background in both B2C & D2C environments
German language skills a plus
