    Our client is a global innovation-led organisation looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their cutting-edge team on a 12 month contract.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • 5+ years of relevant commercial software engineering experience, heavily focused on Python.
    • Deep, hands-on expertise with FastAPI, Pandas, and NumPy in production environments.
    • Proven track record with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture and Prompt Engineering.
    • Strong proficiency in building agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, and FastMCP.
    • Solid experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (especially Azure Functions).
    • Exceptional engineering practices (Git, CI/CD, Docker, packaging, unit tests).
    • Strong analytical thinking, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Willingness to complete a HackerRank technical challenge during the recruitment process.
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
    • Familiarity with multi-agent frameworks (CrewAI, Autogen, Taskweave), broader data engineering concepts, and AI ethics practices is a plus.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Build and scale robust, API-first backend services using Python, FastAPI, Pandas, and NumPy.
    • Design and implement advanced RAG pipelines, utilizing vector databases and embedding models.
    • Develop and orchestrate sophisticated multi-agent AI workflows (using LangChain, LangGraph, FastMCP).
    • Deploy and manage serverless solutions and APIs within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem (including Azure Functions).
    • Process large, complex datasets, ensuring rigorous data cleaning, transformation, and integration.
    • Maintain strict engineering hygiene: small and regular commits, CI/CD, unit testing, and Docker containerization.
