Impact of Clean Energy Equipment on Construction Safety
As the year draws to an end, we caught up with our client O’Connor Contracts Ltd to discuss how their year was, their highlights and their ambitions for the future.
O’Connor Contracts Ltd is a construction company that offers first and second fix carpentry, timber frame and roofing carpentry, external roof and wall finishes and bespoke joinery. Their experienced workforce and supply chain allows them to provide a wide range of services on a supply and install basis whilst operating nationwide throughout a host of key market sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare/assisted living and hospitality.
Behind every successful business is a titan team of dedicated staff and O’Connor do not fall short on that aspect. Managing Director Thomas O’Connor has been leading the team for over 5 years, working closely with his Commercial Lead Daryl Evans and senior site management team Vincent Walsh, Daniel Cronin & Justin Coleman.
“At O’Connor, we are dedicated in providing quality construction, technical and management services to our clientele. We take pride in our work and it is reflected through our numerous successfully completed projects. The pillars that underpin our company are: Integrity & Trust, Client-orientated, Innovation, Collaboration, Excellence & Quality and Delivery.” Thomas O’Connor
O’Connor was formerly known as Keane O’Connor, which was establish back in 2015 as a partnership between Thomas O’Connor and Brian Keane. Following Brian’s return to Ireland, Thomas took control of the company in 2018 and has continued to grow the company and their offering.
Their recent surge in growth demanded an expansion, subsequently promoting the implementation of a strategic plan to rebrand and reconstruct the company on multiple facets. The untethering of Keane from O’Connor with the full overhaul on branding solidified and reinforced the companies growing presence within the industry.
In the last three months, O’Connor have seen substantial growth internally (commercial and operations team), as a brand (interfacing, company fleet, work wear), delivering and securing projects. The latter solidifies a structure that will cater for an expansion as higher tier contractors working on higher specified builds.
During this unprecedented time, O’Connor have adapted by implementing flexible structures such as remote working. Fortunately, many of their construction sites have not been impacted as much as others and this has allowed them to continue to progress through contracted construction works.
Their goal has always been to deliver the requirements of all their diversified clientele, suppliers, employees and to exceed their expectations. The vision for the year 2021 is to further integrate the skills and attributes of their talented workforce, and of course, to continue to provide a high level of professionalism and outstanding service. With the objective of continuing to create value by providing safe and sustainable construction services.
“Our strategic business plan is to grow organically within the capacity of our highly skilled workforce and reputable supply chain. We aim to achieve longevity within the construction industry by establishing a foundation which cultivates high standards and precedence, functioning at the forefront of the construction industry.” – Daryl Evans
