    WALK RUN TALK

    Cavendish Professionals are proud to announce that we will be launching a new company-wide initiative: WALK RUN TALK.

    As a company, we want to shine a spotlight on the benefits of movement for not only our physical health but also the importance it has on our mental health. So, we want to get moving this April!

    We hope to raise awareness around the benefits of looking after ourselves. Allowing time to take care of our emotional and physical wellbeing. We want to develop a program where people are in a safe space to have a walk, run and maybe even talk.

    Our Construction recruitment team are championing this initiative and encouraging all of our construction workers to get involved. According to COIB ‘Two people working in construction in the UK die by suicide every day. Over 700 per year.’ It is important to us as employers, to understand the pressures that our workers can face and work on ways to educate and train, which will help to eliminate the stigma of men talking about their mental health.

    Construction Sport

    We will be working alongside Construction Sport, our charity partner,  to also raise awareness around the psychological and physical wellbeing of construction workers. Construction Sport believe in using the power of sport to improve the lives of the construction workforce and the benefits taking part in sports can have on your mental health. We could not think of a better partner to help champion our initiative and encourage the industry to get moving this April.

    London Marathon 2022

    Our new initiative also supports one of our colleagues, Mike, on his training plan for the Marathon in October 2022, the team is going to take part in a Nike running challenge throughout April 2022. You can support Mike here.
