Last week, we hosted our fourth Tech Talk event at Hevre in Krakow – TECH TALK The live mentoring sessions. This event was slightly different to our previous offerings, a live mentoring panel with some leading figures in the Polish tech industry, creating an opportunity for networking and discussion. Our aim was to create an environment to inspire career elevation and development within our audience, whether they be newcomers in the industry or established professionals.
The event was hosted by our very own Head of Technology at Cavendish Professionals, Adrian Duffy. Adrian managed the flow of the disscusion and acted as an intermediary between the audience and the panelists.

We were lucky enough to have some truly inspiring leaders in tech representing on our panel of mentors:

Tomasz Manugiewicz
The General Manager of Evoke‘s Polish engineering hub, author of Executive Agile and co-author of The LIGHT BOOK. He shared advice on overcoming introversion, recounting his personal struggles and how he navigates social events and speaking engagements.

Slawomir Kumka
The Director of Software Development at IBM, with 25+ years in AI, Machine Learning, and enterprise applications. Slawomir’s contributions were insightful, focusing on the importance of quantum computing and progressive tech.

Lukasz Domoradzki

Krystyna Pietrzykowska
The Head of the Technology Centre at Hitachi Energy, with 20+ years of experience in management and IT leadership. Krystyna shared valuable insights into the future of work in tech, the importance of bridging multiple industries, and how mindset and mental strength are key to success.

Greg Jaworek
The VP of Software Engineering at SII, with 18+ years in software development and leadership. Greg emphasised the importance of a growth mindset and how curiosity drives innovation and helps build a future-proof career.

Robert Liziniewicz
The Director of Engineering at Backbase, with 20+ years in software development and leadership. Robert discussed the benefits of breaking tasks into smaller, manageable cycles, allowing for frequent adjustments and valuable feedback.

Karol Tajdus
The Director of Data & AI at Accenture, specialising in data-driven innovation and global programme delivery. Karol emphasised how rapidly AI is changing the way we work and how AI automation can enhance everyday life.
The discussion lasted around 2 hours; the audience had lots of questions, and so the conversation went back and forth which created a space for inspiration and growth in the room. It was fantastic to see how interactive and eager the audience was with the discussions. One of the highlights of the event was the chance to connect with like-minded individuals and expand professional networks. Attendees exchanged ideas, shared experiences, and forged valuable connections that will undoubtedly continue to support them in their professional journeys.
Overall, the event was a great opportunity to network with likeminded techies, while providing a chance to learn from people more progressed in their careers – the advice was transferrable throughout industries, meaning the event was even useful to those who aren’t involved in tech.
