We are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join one of our well-established clients in Bridgwater.
Our client is a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure and commercial projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage engineering activities across multiple project phases.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
- Lead and mentor Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
- Manage setting out activities and quality assurance procedures.
- Review technical drawings and identify buildability challenges.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.
- Produce and maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and engineering documentation.
- Assist with planning and sequencing of works to maximise productivity.
- Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Support commercial teams with measurement, valuations, and change management.
- Drive a strong culture of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance.
Skills & Requirements:
- Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or experienced Site Engineer within civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, or groundworks environments
- Experience managing engineering teams on complex projects.
- Proficient with surveying and setting out equipment.
- Strong understanding of QA processes, ITPs, and site documentation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
