We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join one of our well-established clients in Birmingham.
Our client is a leading UK construction and civil engineering contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure, commercial, residential and transportation projects across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of multiple projects across a national portfolio.
- Manage Project Managers, Site Managers and project delivery teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
- Drive commercial performance and maximise project profitability.
- Oversee resource planning, programming and operational delivery.
- Monitor project performance, KPIs and contractual obligations.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Support tender, bid and pre-construction activities where required.
- Develop and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and mentoring to project teams.
- Produce regular operational and commercial reports for senior management.
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience operating as a Contracts Manager, Senior Contracts Manager, Operations Manager, Project Director or Senior Project Manager.
- Strong track record managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience delivering civil engineering, infrastructure, industrial, warehouse, commercial or major construction projects.
- Excellent commercial awareness with responsibility for project budgets and profitability.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of contract administration and project controls.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, organisational and management skills.
- Willingness to travel across the UK as business needs require.
- Degree, HNC or HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
