5 Reasons To Take Up A Midwife Job In Auckland, New Zealand:

Cavendish Professionals is now recruiting registered midwives to work for the Auckland District Health Board in New Zealand. This hospital was established to improve and protect the health of communities but also to integrate health services and to promote effective care or support of those in need of health services.

Auckland DHB has three major facilities: Auckland City Hospital, Starship Children’s Hospital and Greenlane Clinical Centre. As moving to New Zealand is a big decision to make, we thought we would give you a few reasons as to why you should consider taking the plunge:

Working with different cultures

Auckland DBH employs approximately 10,000 health and medical staff. With its cosmopolitan feel and its diverse heritage, working in Auckland means working with a lot of different cultures. Maoris, Pacific Islanders as well as Asians, Americans and Europeans form a tight community and this is your chance to immerse yourself in it. You will get to learn from inhabitants but also from other members of staff who have been trained all around the world.

Good rewarding packages

At Cavendish Professionals, we care about our clients and about our candidates. That means we will make sure that you get good incentives and that the packages offered are rewarding. You will receive some financial help to travel to Auckland and to set up your living accommodation. With a one-year initial contract, you will be able to either continue your employment with Auckland DBH or move on to another adventure!

Supportive employer

Auckland DBH would like to make the process of moving and joining in easy. They will support you in the early stages by helping you set up a bank account and by offering tours of the region, so that you won’t feel too lost and will be able to ease into your new life. As you will be working for a governmental body, you will have a secure job, in a supportive environment. Public organisations are also known to be less demanding and more flexible than the private sector.

Career Development

On top of learning from your peers from around the world, you will also be able to gain the New Zealand equivalent of your NMC registration. You will learn different techniques and practices which will allow you to grow professionally. After a first experience as an expat, you might catch the travelling bug! Your CV, upgraded with your Auckland DBH role, will certainly open professional doors for you in the future!

Life-changing experience

If you want a change of scenery, if you are after a new professional challenge, if you want to check if the grass is greener somewhere else or if you want to meet new people, then this opportunity is the one you need! You won’t be thrown into the deep end and you will get the support you need to make your move as smooth as possible. This is your chance to go on a career’s adventure; don’t miss out!
