    COSS (Controller Of Site Safety)

    As Cavendish Professionals are securing contracts on several of the largest Infrastructure projects in the UK, we are now keen to speak with PTS Sentinel COSS to discuss upcoming projects in London & home counties.

    Days, nights, and weekend shifts available

    Duration: 12 – 18 months

    Skills and Requirements:

    • CPCS or NPORS
    • PTS (Personal Track Safety)
    • In date NWR Medical
    • NWR Drug and Alcohol test with a negative result within the past 3 months, or be willing to have one.
    • Manual handling Preferred
    • Must have 2 checkable references
    • Proof of right to work in UK
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

    Role and Responsibilities:

    Projects are varied, and duties could include general groundworks, laying foundations, trough laying, walkway construction and building retaining walls. All roles are hands-on and involve working outside in all weather conditions.

    • Patrolling, examining or inspecting.
    • To liaise with the Civils Supervisor, Project Engineers and or Civil Engineering Manager in organising and planning site activities.
    • To take and organise any planned possessions in accordance with Safe System of Work planned arrangements.
    • To set up and brief out the safe system of work.
    • Ensure adherence to the safe system of work.
    • Brief out all healthy and safe working practices in accordance with the method statement and ensure compliance.
    • Ensure completion of works to planned arrangements, timescales as well as to quality procedures and standards.
    • Report any defects or deviation from planned arrangements to line manager.
    • Arrange with assistance where necessary the tools, equipment, plant, and materials that are needed to carry out the work.
    • Contribute to the tasks detailed in the Work Package Plan and Task Brief
