    Our client is a global innovation-led organisation looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join their cutting-edge AI Incubator team on a 12 month contract.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
    • Strong Python engineering experience with a focus on production-grade systems
    • Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, semantic search, and agentic workflows
    • Exposure to graph-based systems (knowledge graphs, graph data science, GNNs such as GCN/GAT)
    • Solid understanding of machine learning, deep learning, and applied data science
    • Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval strategies (lexical, vector, hybrid)
    • Familiarity with APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
    • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, testing, version control)
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Build end-to-end AI systems, taking ideas from concept to production
    • Design and implement agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and reasoning systems
    • Develop graph-enabled AI capabilities, including knowledge graph integration
    • Build and optimise search and retrieval systems using vector and hybrid approaches
    • Integrate LLMs into scalable applications, including fine-tuning and evaluation
    • Develop and maintain APIs and backend services for AI-driven solutions
    • Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to support data and model performance
    • Implement observability, logging, and monitoring for reliability and performance
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product, and UX
    • Follow best engineering practices with clean, testable code and agile delivery
