    Staff Nurse – Haematology Unit

    Our client is currently searching for a Staff Nurse – Haematology Unit for their fast-paced team in London.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Assess, plan and deliver care to meet individual patient and family needs in accordance with agreed protocols (SOP’s/policies)
    • Demonstrate impeccable clinical practice at all times and respond appropriately to deteriorating patients, changing patient condition and safety triggers e.g. NEWS 2, SBAR
    • Work productively within a team and promote a multi-disciplinary approach whilst recognising own responsibility and accountability.
    • Participate in research based care and other practice development initiatives.
    • Contribute towards clinical audit and quality initiatives towards the continual improvement of patient care and experience.
    • Provide a welcoming, caring and safe environment for all patients, families and carers regardless of race, culture or beliefs.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin.
    • Post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting or equivalent.
    • Intravenous chemotherapy administration experience.
    • Mentorship and Preceptorship experience, or willingness to work towards this.
    • Motivated and forward thinking individual with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
    • Evidence of self-development and service improvement and a willingness to continue this.
