    Marketing in the Technology Industry

    With so much going on at Cavendish Professionals, we thought it would be nice to take a look at all things marketing, alongside what has been going on with us and our approach to marketing across to a diverse and evolving technology industry. With that in mind, on their previous trip to Manchester in September 2022, Amy Harris, Natasha Gordon Douglas and Adrian Duffy sat down to chat about the exact impact of effective marketing to the technology division.

    In this special episode of the Technology Insights Podcast series, Amy and Natasha, Senior Marketing Executive and Head of Marketing respectively, spoke to Adrian Duffy, Head of Software Development (Recruitment) – Technology, to fully explain how marketing strategies and content affects the recruitment process. Adrian begins by explaining how prior to having a dedicated marketing team, many recruitment consultants would handle their own online presence to source their clients and candidates for business development and headhunting.

    Natasha then explains how marketing has changed over the years and flourished with the introduction of social media platforms and more comprehensive analytics. They then outline how investment into marketing can make the key difference for many types of organisations, and how that was proved during the Covid-19 pandemic. Natasha then circles back to reiterate how a good online presence reinforces a better first impression and overall connection with clients and candidates.

    Adrian Duffy

    Adrian Duffy, Head of Software Development, has over 10 years’ experience within Talent Acquisition. Adrian is currently working within the Technology sector, with a focus on Software Development across Western & Eastern Europe. He is also responsible for developing our client and candidate base, partnering with start-ups, consultancies, and end-users to support their growth. Prior to this, Adrian was responsible for setting up the Technical Division in 2011, he worked in the capacity of lead Account Manager before becoming the Technical & Finance Division Manager. Adrian endeavours to offer a direct, supportive, and consultative approach towards recruitment. He never loses sight of the impact an international move can have on a family, or someone’s personal life. He is constantly developing his expertise in relocation and mobilisation to ensure that candidates and clients alike can benefit from a comprehensive service.

    Amy Harris

    Amy is the Senior Marketing Executive and works within the marketing team at Cavendish Professionals. Her role includes supporting the growth of our social channels, website and presence in the industry. This can include a variety of tasks from content and event planning, to marketing campaigns to reach our audience.

    Her experience prior to Cavendish Professionals comes from working within the marketing team at a private health clinic in Central London.

    Natasha Gordon Douglas

    Natasha heads up the marketing team at Cavendish Professionals.  The marketing team are the hub for all the various content that needs to be produced, ranging from social media posts, collateral production, social and marketing events and filming production, you name it, the marketing team covers it.

    We produce any marketing collateral for the consultants to aid with any business development requirements. However, we know it’s not all work and no play, so we also manage the internal social and charity events.
