    Technology Insights Podcast – Part 2

    Over the past four months, our technology division has been busy filming our new Tech Insights podcast. Our experts have been sitting down in front of the camera to discuss their experience within the technology industry and how they have become successful recruiters within this competitive industry.

    Through this podcast, our team is able to interact with the technology industry on a more personal level and allows viewers to gain insight into how we do things at Cavendish Professionals. Our team’s mission is to provide an outstanding service and this podcast allows them to share their own personal experiences, the do’s and don’ts when entering the technology industry.

    How did you get into recruitment?

    In episode six, Adrian and Evgenia are joined by Senior Marketing Executive, Amy Harris. Amy questions the pair on how they both go into recruitment and how their journey has been so far within this industry.  Adrian’s explains how it can often be interesting how your career can change, how you might find yourself recruiting in a completely different market overtime. Both Adrian and Evgenia have had to hussle their way to where they are today. Recruitment can be a different industry to succeed in, however, this pair have put the work in and now find themselves working alongside some of the most prestige technology companies within Europe.

    In episode seven, Adrian and Evgenia sat down with Senior Marketing Executive, Amy Harris, to give their thoughts on what it takes to be successful in the technology recruitment industry. Adrian breaks down the importance of familiarising yourself with the market, as well as better understanding the more realisitic expectations and work ethic you should have when considering becoming a recruiter. Evgenia speaks about her own experience and approach when working with clients in the past, and how that has helped her adapt her strategy over time. Furthermore, Evgenia emphasises the importance of perserverance and using every method you can to network and make new connections.

    In episode eight, Adrian and Evgenia look back over the years on how they both transitioned into recruitment in the tech market. Evgenia begins by describing her search for a new challenge after working for seven years in healthcare recruitment, and how that led into an interest in the software development and tech markets, particularly with the growing opportunities in Europe.

    Evgenia Zhovnaruk

    Evgenia joined Cavendish Professionals in 2009 as an Accounts Manager. Since then, she has worked her way up to Principal consultant within the Technology sector. Evgenia leads teams across SAP, MS Dynamics and Software Development markets across Western and Eastern Europe.

Over the years, I’ve built up a broad network of contacts and have successfully recruited for numerous positions globally.”

    Outside of work, Evgenia enjoys travelling the world and is a self-confessed watch enthusiast.

    Adrian Duffy

    Adrian Duffy, Head of Software Development, has over 10 years’ experience within Talent Acquisition. Adrian is currently working within the Technology sector, with a focus on Software Development across Western & Eastern Europe. He is also responsible for developing our client and candidate base, partnering with start-ups, consultancies, and end-users to support their growth. Prior to this, Adrian was responsible for setting up the Technical Division in 2011, he worked in the capacity of lead Account Manager before becoming the Technical & Finance Division Manager. Adrian endeavours to offer a direct, supportive, and consultative approach towards recruitment. He never loses sight of the impact an international move can have on a family, or someone’s personal life. He is constantly developing his expertise in relocation and mobilisation to ensure that candidates and clients alike can benefit from a comprehensive service.
