    Our client is a global consulting firm looking for an experienced Senior AI/Data Engineer to drive a high-stakes initiative focused on building scalable, production-grade data and AI-enabled systems on a 12 month B2B contract.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • Strong commercial experience as a Senior AI/Data Engineer or Python Backend Engineer with an ownership mindset.
    • Hands-on expertise in knowledge graphs, graph data modeling, relationship mapping, and graph traversal logic.
    • Proven experience with graph databases and capabilities, including Azure Cosmos DB (Gremlin API) and/or Neo4j.
    • In-depth understanding of AI engineering, including GraphRAG, RAG pipelines, LLMs, embeddings, and metadata retrieval systems.
    • Experience with GenAI frameworks and architecture, specifically LangChain, LangGraph, agent memory management, spec-driven development, and MCP server/client integration.
    • Solid background in software engineering best practices, data pipeline construction, and scalable API design.
    • Familiarity or working knowledge of frontend stacks (React, Next.js) is preferred.
    • Bonus points for hands-on experience with Databricks, vector databases (Azure AI Search), Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD delivery workflows.
    • Willingness to complete an AI Engineer HackerRank challenge as part of the assessment process.

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, backend services, and APIs using Python.
    • Architect and maintain enterprise knowledge graph solutions, optimizing data structures and relationship mappings.
    • Implement advanced GraphRAG solutions that integrate knowledge graphs, vector search, and LLM-driven retrieval mechanisms.
    • Drive code quality, performance tuning, automated testing, and technical design across cloud-based environments.
    • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary AI, data, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, production-ready software.
    • Provide full-stack support using React and Next.js where needed to enhance core application interfaces.
